Proxy Ping Plugin

The Proxy Ping plugin is automatically enabled when you add a new device to SevOne NMS to enable a router to ping another router to find the latency of the link you specify for the device. The Instant Graphs page uses Proxy Ping data to enable you to graph the minimum, maximum, and average round trip time of the packets. You must confirm that the SNMP plugin is enabled for a device when you enable the Proxy Ping plugin.

Perform the following steps to enable the Proxy Ping plugin for each device from which you want to poll Proxy Ping metrics.

  1. From the navigation bar, click the Devices menu and select Device Manager.

  2. Either add a device with the Proxy Ping plugin or edit a device to enable the Proxy Ping plugin.

  3. In the plugin section, confirm that the SNMP Capable check box is selected.
